My life as a singer, songwriter, new mom, champion for children's causes, and fashion enthusiast. I'm crazy for jazz, blues, old school R&B, and pop. Have also recently added kids music to my "repertoire". I'm also all about fashion, glam, travel, and helping others. But most of all, I'm loving life being mom to my sweet daughter, Ruby, adopted from Thailand. A lot of things to be grateful for and here is where I will share my stories, music, photos, and words of inspiration. More posts and tweets on my website blog www.macimiller.com

The Players

Working with some great guys and thought I'd give 'em a shout out!

Norm Guarni - on the keys. Great piano player. Plays a mean organ, too.
Mike Hood - Fab Bassist who also works with the swingin' Hoppin John Orchestra.
Rob Smith - Drummer with some serious finesse. Also with Hoppin John Orchestra.
and last, but not least...a last minute fill in that ended up being a blessing in disguise:
Tony Gairo - absolutely SMOKIN' on the sax. (Another guy from Hoppin John).

Lucky me to work with such talented cats!

I Heart EQ

EQ Music really promotes their artists...and I like it! They have added me to 6 compilation CD's out there selling globally. Nice!  If you're in Singapore or Malaysia, you can find them at brick and mortar stores like HMV. Worldwide, they are out there on sites like CDWOW and CDUniverse and Ebay. A friend of mine picked one up in Sweden. Getting airplay there, too. How cool is that? Here are the 4 that have been released so far:
I am featured on track #17, singing At Last.

Featured on Track #2 - Cheek to Cheek
Featured on track #2- Black Coffee and #11- Cheek to Cheek
Featured on Track #1- At Last and Track #8 - Fever

So nice to be included on these great jazz albums! And I'm in good company, too. Singers like James Torme' (Mel's son -whose velvet voice will sweep you up and carry you away) and the talented Dee Daniels, Adrienne Hindermarsh, Irene Atman and Stephanie Porter among others.

A BIG Thanks to EQ for their support and distribution of my music!

THANK YOU!  Terima Kasih Banyak-Banyak!  Gum Xia!  Xie Xie!

Feeling The Love. Feeling The Vybe.

Maci Miller is going to Japan! Well...at least my music is! Tokyo fans -look for my CD's "A Very Good Night" and "Take A Closer Look" coming your way. Look for my CD's at Tower JP, HMV, Yamano Music, and Disk Union.

To say I am happy is an understatement. More like THRILLED. And grateful. Oh so grateful. Thanks music fans and a BIG thank you to my friends at Ultra Vybe! (Domo Arigato!)

I Wear A Lot of Hats

Like most women do. Which is why you may see some lag between posts on occasion. This week I have been singer, blog writer, party thrower, social director, online researcher, social media marketeer, music promoter, house cleaner, wife,....and most importantly, a mom. My little girl started school last week and made me SO proud. Was such a big girl and LOVES school! A far cry from last years' tear fest! Did I mention how proud I am of this girl? She was awesome! As for me...I took full advantage of my newly acquired free time by working out, rehearsing tunes, planning a photo shoot, updating the website, social networking, and planning my kids healthy lunches.

Lest you think I am all about glamour, it's sometimes the simple things the make me smile...making a happy little bento box lunch for my daughter with smiley face cucumbers. Sharing a laugh with my husband or friends. Or just seeing my little girl smile. Ok, ALWAYS seeing my little girl smile.
My sweet girl's 1st day of school.  She is the light of my life.

Tipping my hat(s) to all my friends and wishing you a beautiful day!
